Since 2008, I’ve been working under multiple titles – including ui design, user experience design, and even covered front-end development for a period of time.
I was extremely lucky because I had great mentors who honed in on my career development through that time and pushed me to be who I am today. Therefore, I feel that I have a solid understanding of how to get something done from beginning to the end.
How I tackle problems
As part of my career path, it is crucial to understand and breathe what’s currently trending; not only for design, but also the methodologies of getting to that design. Below is a basic, high-level look at my process.
We understand who we’re solving for, what we’re solving, and why we’re solving.
Now that we understand the problem, together as a team we come up with as many ideas as possible – the sky is the limit.
Some initial user testing will help us validate whether we’re going in the right direction with solving the problem.
After launch, we use the success metrics defined in the understand step to see how successful we actually are.
